#003: Five
We have almost 40 members! Yay! :D I'd like more, but I'll take what I can get. ;) I have a few things I'd like to say before announcing this week's prompt.

+ I know it's only Thursday, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to post on Friday. I hope to get a better turn out this week than we did last week, considering I'm posting it a whole day early than planned!

+ I have a few promotions that I'd like to spread as well. Please join the following communities: twilightfiver and twilightpotter :D

Welcome to the third post of fridaydrabble! I hope you all enjoy this prompt and that you're inspired to write something! This week, I'm going to give you a number prompt and hopefully, one you'll be inspired to write something. I'd like to set down a few rules before I give you the prompt...

1. You may post whatever you write in other communities as long as you link back to this community in every post!
2. If you only write a drabble, please post it in a comment. If you write something longer, which is encouraged, please post it in a public post at another community or at your own journal and link it in a comment to this post.
3. As the subject of your comment, please use this form: "Title: Character/Pairing (Rating)". Another example of that subject would be "Brownies for My Baby: Edward/Bella (Rating: PG)".

1. This week's prompt is #5 (five). I want you to write about 5 things Twilight related. I'm sure that's probably a little confusing for some of you, so I'm going to link you to three different fics that will help explain the concept to you better than I can, lol.

- Ten Facts You Didn't Know About The Twilight Series by anythingbutgrey
- Ten Facts You Didn't Know About Jacob Black by anythingbutgrey
- Five Lies Mike Newton Never Told by anythingbutgrey

I chose this prompt, because I really enjoy reading fics like the ones by anythingbutgrey. I can't wait to see what you all come up with! I will probably end up writing quite a few fics for this prompt as well. ;)

Take care,

5 Things You Didn't Know About Esme Cullen; Esme Cullen(G)
1. When times are stressful, Esme cooks. In her human life she picked the habit up from her mother and even in vampiric death, she continues it. When Edward comes home, distraught, eyes black, and says he needs to go to Alaska, she bakes cookies. She worries he won't come back. She isn't sure how long she can be without her first son, the one she's most attached to. Carlisle gives her a strange look when he sees her arranging the baked goods on a china plate, but says nothing. The cookies sit there, growing hard and stale until Esme is compelled to throw them away.

2. Although she refused to name her baby boy for the three days he was alive in fear it would cause her to grow too attached, she always knew she'd name him Carlisle.

3. When her first husband Charles was drafted for WWI, every night Esme prayed that he'd be shot down in Europe. It's been almost 90 years since then and she still feels the guilt of wishing to take another human's life. No life should be stolen, no matter how much the keeper of that life may deserve it.

4. She never believed in True Love or Love At First Sight until she met Carlisle when she was sixteen years old. His very presence took the pain in her leg away, took her breath away. It still amazes her that the Universe brought her and Carlisle together. She knows that she's just as much in love with him as she was in 1911 when they met and that she always will be. If she could, she's sure she'd still blush every time he smiles at her or brushes his lips against hers.

5. What she misses most about being human is not sleeping, but the ability to cry. The occasion she would need to cry is very rare, but she would like to have the option. She hates that she can only make dry sobs in her throat and that her breath hitches sporadically. She knows she spent too much of her time as a human in tears, but even vampires need to cry every once in a while.

Re: 5 Things You Didn't Know About Esme Cullen; Esme Cullen(G)
That was lovely. It's funny, I hadn't read this but I had alwaysimagined Esme as a baker when push came to shove. Although in my little world, she sent the cakes, cookies, brownies to the hospital...
